In forest as in files, Sylvain follows the tracks with resolution, which leads him to reach his target at all times.
Graduate of University Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne with an in-depth studies degree (DEA) in environmental law (2001), Sylvain has been dedicated his practice as a lawyer to this area of law for over 20 years. He has started his carrer as an associate lawyer in Huglo Lepage & Partners law firm (2003-2006), then in two anglo-saxons law firm of the Magic Circle (2006-2010). Sylvain then took the head of the “Environment” department of Fidal (Great East) law firm (2011-2015) right before he founded his own environmental law practice law firm Demeter Avocat (2015-2019). After that, Sylvain has become partner in environmental law in Richelieu law firm (2019-2024). Thanks to its considerable experience, Sylvain has been now sharing his expertise with Schmitt Avocats law firm since the 1st of July 2024, contributing to the development of the firm to new subjects.
Sylvain’s expertise covers the assessment and the management of the environmental risk in every way (classified installation, polluted sites of land, waste, water law, energy, climate, hunting and nature, etc.) by supporting economical operators in both counsel and litigation (administrative, judicial, criminal) to anticipate at most risks and responsibilities in environmental matter.
